NOW you may think this sounds very ~irresponsible~ but hear me out. If you are really into your job, you may start performing/and are thinking about it while intoxicated. This weekend really made me think that I should maybe take a day off of work…because it’s all I’m thinking about.
Most of senior year I’ve been working at Victoria’s Secret. I really like it, and have a lot of fun working my way up in the company. However, when I was hired I was not aware of the side affects this job may give me, like dreaming about bras, looking at other women’s chests noticing if they need to be wearing a different bra or not, and so on. I’ve never had a job give me these ~side affects~ but this next one I was not expecting. SELLING WOMEN BRAS WHILE DRUNK.
This past Valentine’s Day I was out with one of my good girlfriends in downtown Milwaukee. We were having a great time, taking shots, throwing back cocktails, enjoying the single life. While at the bar we ran to the bathroom, and standing in line, these girls were helping their friend fix her bra. Me, being over-confident I went right to her and was like “I work at Victoria’s Secret, I’ll help you.” Within .05 seconds I could tell exactly what bra she was wearing (Very Sexy Push-Up in black and gold rings) and that it wasn’t the right size. Me, (obviously not thinking) saying “When was the last time you were measured? What size are you? I can help you find your perfect fit and I think the Incredible bra will be perfect for you” and I was saying this a mile a minute.
She was like “Wait how do you know that?” laughing. I reply “I see a lot of boobs” and the bathroom literally burst out laughing. The girl I was ~trying~ to sell to laughed the hardest. She said she needs new bras anyway because the one she was wearing was falling apart, and I invited her to the store at the time (which was about midnight) but it obviously is closed, darn it. I tried.
The next day I told my coworkers, and they thought it was hilarious. My managers were even proud because if selling BRAS is what I am thinking about when I am drunk, then I must be doing a good job. I really do need a day off though.
