It is so easy to just sit back, relax, and binge some Netflix. But you can’t forget all the times you promised yourself that you were going to do that one thing, that you were putting off for that one free day!
With the majority of people having more free time than ever in their lives, me personally, and I am assuming many others are spending a lot of time watching TV and lounging around. Yes, days to just lay around are nice, but you can’t be like that forever.
Yeah, we may be bored being cooped up in the house during this pandemic, but this is the perfect time to start growing as a person and being productive. All those projects you saved for a “different day” can start now. This is also the perfect time to create some good habits, like reading ten minutes every day or setting aside an hour to work on a project. You can also block out some time to go for a walk, prep a good home cooked meal, and so on. The things you can do in this time…I don’t mean to entirely state the obvious, but I am.
Personally, I make lists of what I need to do each day to feel fulfilled. For example, I’ll write
- Write a Triple Tea article
- Write AT LEAST a page in my book
- Check emails (ew)
- Apply to at least five jobs
- Post something on LinkedIn
- Learn at least one Adobe Illustrator skill
Legit a list I made today and it is quite satisfying to check off each task. Plus, even if I don’t get to cross all of the items off that day because things come up, I hope to do at least one or two just to stay productive. Even just baby steps in getting things done is better than nothing. Plus, there is no rule or rhyme on how much you should have on your list, it is just a way to stay organized and is VERY HELPFUL IN THE LONG RUN. Trust me.
The grind never stops, now that I have my article done (check) I can move on to something else. (I’m thinking about what I could learn in Adobe next, because the Creative Cloud is awesome) so I’m going to log off and do as such. Keep growing my dudes.
xoxo, triple tea
