(Greetings fellow tea sippers, it’s been a long time since we have had a fresh pot.)
Everyone is going to experience this at some point in their life…and that is relationship rejection. Yeah it sucks but what can you do? Well, tonight I had an epiphany, and I’m positive numerous other strong-willed ladies have gone through this too, is when a guy pulls himself away or just cuts everything off once you share your dreams/goals/future plans.
If I got a dollar for the amount of times I’ve been told “good luck” after I’ve told someone my dreams and then they cut me off, I’d be able to buy a Mercedes.
And don’t tell me “it just wasn’t it” because trust me, I know. But what I really want to know the answer to is why are so many men turned away by this? Do they not want a woman in their life that has plans, wants a career for herself, and wants to be successful? Are men intimidated that a woman can perform on the same playing field as them?
It’s 2020, and more women are career oriented than ever before and that mindset is only going to spread here on out. Women are not meant to stay at home to cook/clean. We are meant to go make something of ourselves too, no matter what it may be. So basically (and as the saying goes) take me as I [the ladies] am or watch me as I go.
xoxo, triple tea.
