We all know the vibe, being sucked into a binge session of Game of Thrones yet again. Some days, this is all that you need but it can be easy to get into a cycle of doing this again, and again, and again. The addiction is harder to break than ever too, because of quarantine.
Since COVID became so prominent in our lives, everything seems to have been put on hold. For a while yes, we were on the edge of our seats, but sitting and waiting for an answer without doing other things to keep your life going is more exhausting and deterring the most. Then come people complaining (myself included) and filling ourselves with negative ideas and creating a sour mindset that keeps us not only from staying positive, but growing and moving forward.
Nearly every person you talk to in your entire life has a dream. Dream job, dream car, dream home, etc. To face the facts, most people don’t get to where they want to be, because of a plethora of life circumstances and “not enough time”. Then the sad truth of the dream falls out of thought, and just becomes a buried hope that you tell yourself you will never achieve. But let me ask you this, if you really wanted your dream to come true but don’t have the time to make it happen, where do you get all this time to watch TV?
As cliche as it is, we all have 24 hours in a day. And if you set your mind to it, and care enough about it, you will get steps closer to your dream each day with a little practice. I’m not saying that you should always be working on achieving your dream. You do have a life to live and enjoy, but as a thought maybe you should cut your Netflix binge sesh time in half to get some work done with side projects, planning, and always thinking about ways to get one step closer to making your dream a reality. Your dreams aren’t going to make themselves.
The price is high, and you have to be willing pay. Now get out there and start chasing.
