Quarantine Depression: Believe It or Not, You Probably Have/Had It.

Quarantine Depression: Believe It or Not, You Probably Have/Had It.

God only knows how many days we are in quarantine. And we all know, it sucks. It’s horrible that the world is going through this, and I pray every day that those who are sick (COVID-19 and others) heal soon, and know that they are in good hands. BUT when it comes to those who are non-essential and are forced to stay home, we are upset that our lives have been put on hold until further notice.

Everyone at some point in their life will experience some sort of depression. In this time, the whole world is feeling it in unison. The things that we have taken for granted like going to get coffee with a friend, concerts, and going shopping are all gone. Though we didn’t think we’d ever miss the little things, we now yearn them more then ever. I have found myself several times just randomly breaking down crying during this quarantine because I don’t know what the F@#& is going on. I’ve probably cried more in this quarantine than in any breakup I’ve had. But that is OKAY, it’s OKAY to feel, and if crying is your way to “let it all out” then crying it is.

BUT when you have run out of shows to watch, think about the things that you couldn’t do because you were so busy before. I find myself writing more than I ever, and I even started reading movie scripts in my time off to observe, learn, and practice on how I will write my own one day.

Even though it may be hard, it is okay to feel down and sad, but find ways to bring yourself back out of that depression. EVERYONE has something to do to make them feel better. And if you don’t…well now is the perfect time to figure something out. We got this guys, just keep washing your hands and we will be back to normal before we know it.

xoxo, triple tea.
