Please, for Pete’s sake CHECK UP ON YOUR EXTROVERT FRIENDS, WE ARE NOT DOING OKAY IN THIS QUARANTINE. As we are all home keeping ourselves free of corona, the isolation is taking a toll on us. Especially the extroverts.
Everyone loves their alone time. Having peace and quiet to collect your thoughts is always nice. Well, the past two weeks we’ve done enough to soak that in. We never realized how much we are addicted to the drug of being social butterflies.
This is going to sound really sad, but I literally went and got a car wash the other day and honestly, I LOOKED FORWARD TO IT, AND IT WAS PROBABLY THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY WEEK. It’s the little things, and the big things (since it is a big deal to leave your house right now).
And for a few days (before classes started and we had nothing better to do) we would have our fair share of day drinking. I mean, we really don’t have any obligations besides our stay-at-home order. Some say its a form of pregaming for when the bars open back up, but most likely it is just to past the time.
Also, just to add in the mix of being single while in quarantine. At least some of you have a significant other to spend extra time with and grow your relationship than worrying about work. (This is my sad girl coming out) because I literally cried to myself in my room the other day because I realized how single I really am with not having a single notification from that special someone, or the inability to schedule a date right now, because nothing is open to go do anything (sorry, no FaceTime dates).
Maybe this is the quarantine that is starting to drive me a little insane, but when will this madness end? I don’t know if I can stomach one more episode of Netflix. While attempting to stay sane I have been doing lots of schoolwork, and networking/writing to be productive. BUT WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING FUN OUT IN THE WORLD SOON.
I hope I’m not the ONLY person feeling this way, extrovert or introvert. Now go wash your hands and stay home so the world can open up again sooner.
xoxo, triple tea
